I think that was a good decision on your part. I felt the obligation, since I've seen it 2-3 times on stage (oh, misguided youth!) and one of the great joys of filmgoing, for me, is comparison and analysis. Makes me a bear to go to movies with if you don't like that sort of thing, but I'm so often disappointed that it saves the evening for me if I can focus on criticism rather than actually *loving* the movie.

I'm not really this sour. I just sound like it.
