By "culturally gay" I mean exhibiting characteristics commonly associated with "gayness" in our society. While stereotype figures largely into this, there are also certain attitudes, behaviors and patterns which suggest "gayness" to us that straight people also exhibit--since it is, after all, a stereotype and not inherent in the preference. So I'm wondering if Joss describes himself as "gay" because he shares some qualities with what we as a society figure as "gay," or whether he's talking about a more basic bi/homosexuality within his ostensibly hetero preferences.
