Well, it's not exactly a movie (yet), but around here we've been listening to the soundtrack for the old stage play Fiorello! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiorello%21) (which won a Tony and a Pulitzer for Best Drama in 1960.)
In some ways, Obama is eerily like Fiorello LaGuardia - both were "outsiders" who weren't really expected to prevail, and neither had the unqualified support of their parties. (LaGuardia was Republican in Democratic Tammany-dominated NYC.)
One song good for a chuckle: "Politics and Poker," where the guys in the "back room" fish around for a candidate:
