Why hello, The Man!
We have arrived?
It's not that I want to go through Ticketmaster. We don't really have a choice. But hey; wish us luck?

What have you been listening to?

The Plimsouls - Everything at Once - power pop - I loves me some power pop - 4/5
Neil Young - Chrome Dreams 2 - country rock and rock and roll - lesser Neil but still Neil. And Ordinary People is genius - 4/5
Jill Scott - The Real Thing - neo soul - as a fan of her other work, very disappointing to me - 3/5
Carole King - Tapestry - singer/songwriter - for some reason, I had never replaced my vinyl copy - 5/5
Mink Deville - Cabretta - punk/do-wop/latin - so much fun, like you wouldn't believe - 5/5
The Spinners - Might Love - Philly Soul - gorgeous harmonies and smooth as silk - 5/5
Art Ensemble of Chicago - Nice Guys - avant garde jazz - my understanding of what I was hearing is so limited then I'm not qualified to judge
Nil Lofgrin - Nils Lofgrin - rock and roll - nothing really made me sit up and take notice - 3/5
Belle and Sebastian The Life Pursuit - indie pop - I loved this from beginning to end - 5/5
Ramones Tribute album - We're a Happy Family - punk - not as awesome as it should have been. Although Tom Waits singing The Ramones is almost enough - 3/5

I was a bit disappointed with The Life Pursuit, though I'm not sure why--I adore Dear Catastrophe Waitress so much that I think I wanted LP to be as amazing for me. I'd put it at number 4, probably, behind Fold Your Hands Child, DCW, and Tigermilk.
Can you tell I'm babbling because I don't know any of the other albums?

We're going into the studio next month. That sounds so pro, doesn't it? What I mean is, "We're paying to record stuff next month."
