my_daroga: Mucha's "Dance" (self)

my secret life, a secret no more

According to myheritage.com (helpfully supplied by [livejournal.com profile] misfitina), I am none other than Emmy Rossum. Yes, it's true. Using the pic in my userpic right now, it first fed me a bunch of crap about being David Beckham. I was flattered and went to the washroom to have a look, but it turns out I'm not. I am, in fact, HER:

But considering Gerard Butler in that crap, I'd rather be Emmy here:

Mmm, Meg Giry.

Speaking of which, I've had some disturbing fanfic desires lately. Like I want to write about "Mysterious Cities of Gold". Anyone remember that? But something filthy, like about Mendoza pulling Esteban aside and telling him Zia's alright for a tumble, but he ought to wait until he gets back to Spain for a "real woman" before he talks about settling down or whatever. Or Mendoza pulling Esteban (or any of them) aside and doing something else. Gah. And I'm still mulling over my Elizabeth Bennet/Georgiana Darcy lust.

I also want a story about Tom Ripley (Highsmith) in Alien. Just because. I mean, what does the master manipulator/mimic do when faced with a big alien?

Why am I thinking these things at all?

I do know that someday the right Buffy-centered plotbunny will hop my way, and I will know that I am the right person to write it. Just hasn't happened.

Your pictures didn't come through, L. :(

Those fanfic ideas sound really interesting. Have you tried them out yet in writing or are you still in the formulating them process?

No not sick at all. In fact if you can do anything genre first odds are better for publication. (So I'm thinking with first novel being shopped to agents; fantasy genre.)

Pics work. Thanks! :)

I was thinking the pseudonymous route myself but I want people to learn how to say my name :p

say my name! haha

Yeah but if you emphasize that this writing was done "in your free time" or not seriously that does not take away from your possibilities for other "legit" publication. Writers' bios are what they give the publishers not the other way around. In fact, some of the more interesting bios are ones that deliberately downplay or are humorous; here is a good example by a writer I like Neal Stephenson (http://www.electricinca.com/56/stephenson/bio.htm).

I can't see the pictures!

She is super cute! You know, when I met you I thought that you resembled my cousin, Libby. Incidently, Libby and I look like sisters.

Yeah, it was like halfway looking into a mirror when I saw you. Hmm...

Can say one thing about ER. She's gorgeous. Which in light of what we said about Christine not being a bombshell that's kinda funny. And can say one thing about GB too. he has a zit in one tiny corner of his face, if you squint.

Dude, I've written Elizabeth/Georgiana in my head. Of course, I've written Georgiana/Darcy in my head too, because I'm broken inside. I find P&P porn way better than S&S porn, but when I want I nice thick shippy fic I prefer S&S. Marianne/Brandon, that is.

I think I was only interested in it because it's the first porn I found online. What a way to be introduced!

In the end, it's the E/G/D. Or G/E/D, for those who want to graduate.
