Reason 183 Why My Friend's High School Drama Program is Awesome
Last November, I was in Orlando, helping out with a friend's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mr. Daroga,
lettered and I were providing the music, and we arrived in time to have a few rehearsals and meet the student actors.
They'd intended to cover the apron of the stage with real sod, but that had fallen through in the end and there was a bright green covering on the platform we were to play on. It was nice and clean, and I took off my shoes and climbed up.
"This felt is the exact same color as my Kermit socks!" I exclaimed delightedly, looking down. (They were in the $1 bin at Target, which is where I get most of my socks.) My friend looked at me.
"We got a whole role of Kermit fabric from Disney," he said.
I stared. "You mean this is Kermit-skin?"
"The apron's Grinch fur."
